and a Federal or State business ID number.
Exporters/Wholesalers in China and India:
They DO require minimum purchases on each item.
Inquire about your foreign exporter/wholesaler's export tax. It will probably be included in their shipping charges. To calculate the US import tax, go to the Harmonized Tariff Schedule, Sec XIV, Subhead 7101 through 7118, especially see 7103 and 7104. It would appear that importing semi-precious beads is US duty free, but check it out for yourself. (I do not read "government" very well.) If the sender marks their export documents as "samples", "gift" or "not for resale", no duty would be charged in any case. If there is a duty, it will probably be collected by the deliverer when you receive the package: the post office, UPS, FedEx, etc. Bigger purchases might require that you go through a customs house broker.
