Torch-Fired Enamel Jewelry
Amazon Review: One thing that keeps many would-be jewelers from using enamel in their projects is the lack of a kiln. A decent small one costs several hundred dollars and most need a heavy-duty electrical outlet. This book shows you how to use a large jeweler's torch to enamel small pieces. The process is no more difficult than silver soldering and the results on small pieces are more than satisfactory. If you have normal jeweler's equipment and want to get started in enameling this is a good place to start.

Enameling on Metal Clay
Amazon Review: "Enameling on Metal Clay" is an excellent guide to both working with metal clay and the enameling process, almost like getting two books in one! We have just started to experiment with making jewelery to augment our retail line in my wife's small business and we have become interested in enameling since we already own a kiln. We selected this book based on the large number of positive, helpful reviews and I am pleased to say it was a very good choice.
 
The book is divided between two main sections, "Getting Started" and "Projects". "Getting Started" contains all of the basic information needed, including the required materials, tools, and procedures. The "Projects" section has eight practical projects that are quite nice and are designed to develop the skills needed to move onto more complicated challenges. Both sections are presented in very easy to follow formats with helpful pictures. There is also a good section on troubleshooting and an outstanding gallery of pictures.
 
This is one of the better craft books I have seen and it will likely be my "go to" resource.
