Amazon review: Beading is enjoing a wave of popularity right now and there are more magazines than ever and frankly, I read them all. Beadwork stands above the others in many ways. The quality of the articles is fresh and informative, not the same tired junk recycled over and over. New news in the beading world is never over looked and the patterns are always detailed and sources for materials given. If I could only subscrible to one Beading Magazine Beadwork would definitely fill the bill.

Amazon review: I love this magazine for its unique subjects, practical projects and its beautiful quality. Charts are large and clear and as any beader knows, the charts are easily used for both beading AND cross-stitching, so you're really getting twice the number of projects in every issue---make the project in beads one time, and make the same project in fabric and thread another time! Most issues highlight beautiful Australian wildlife, a lovely breed of dog, and a gorgeous flower worked into specific beading and/or cross-stitch. Then there are more "common" cross-stitch pieces like gardens or homes. If you're looking for "cute", this is not your magazine! There is little to no advertising, and it is printed on high-gloss, heavy paper four issues/year so you will collect these.

Amazon review: This is a wonderful magazine with a variety of projects, from seed bead work to simple stringing. Simple directions help ease the process of creation, and a glossary is available for true beginners. I find a project that grabs me immediately in each issue, and often look through past months for inspiration.
Amazon review: I have been a subscriber for many years. This is my favorite beading magazine. I do not enjoy stringing, so the easier bead stringing magazines do not appeal to me. However, Bead & Button has such a variety of projects and techniques, that it will appeal to most everyone. As an advanced seed bead technique lover, I find so much inspiration in this magazine. Typically I find 4 - 7 projects per issue that I MUST try out. They have a reader's gallery where you can send in photos of your work. Excellent directions that are easy to follow, even for the most complicated pieces. Great magazine. Highest recommendation. I save all my copies and return to them frequently.

Amazon review: For several years I have been unable to stop buying beading mags. I have only recently become a little choosey but if I were only allowed to buy one magazine or have one subsription it would be STRINGING. It is all about just what I want...not alot of stichery ..none that I can remember but about beads and beading with a wire, string, hemp and whats new...just what you want, no frustration with pages and pages of what I am NOT interested in and on and on. This is the magazine for beaders who string and nothing else. Wont pass it up and neither should you. Katies Sweet Beads......

Amazon review: This is a great magazine for intermediate-advanced beaders. There is a little bit of everything in it: bead weaving, lampwork, fused glass, precial metal clays, etc. Lots of great ideas with techniques, variations and patterns. Great gallery photos of all sorts of things. I always get lots of ideas and learn at least one new technique from every issue. One note, you need to have a basic knowledge of bead stitches, glass techniques, etc. to really understand this mag. I would only recommend it for a beginner if they want to look (and drool) over the amazing photos. Other mags like "Bead and Button" have a lot more techniques and projects for a beginner.

Amazon review: I had been looking for a book or magazine that would teach me the basics of wire jewelry. A friend found this for me for Christmas and I love it! It was fantastic and truly sparked my creativity to go on to my own projects. The projects in the magazine are wonderful in their diversity. There's something for the beginner to the more experienced. I enjoyed it so much I'll now be ordering a subscription!

Fire Mountain Catalogue

My review: I use, and recommend, Fire Mountain gemstone beads and cabochons. They are a full-service company: the quality of their gemstone cabochons and gemstone beads is outstanding. They have cut precious stones as well. They offer many grades, and the sizes and shapes are extensive. They also offer pearls, crystal, glass, wood, bone and other beads of every description. They have an extensive array of gold and silver settings, jewelry findings, tools, wire, chains, cord, charms and so on. If you are a beader or jewelry maker of any kind, Fire Mountain has everything you need and their prices are very reasonable. In addition, I cannot complement their customer service too highly. You can order from them and get it so fast, you'd think they delivered it themselves. No kidding! And I have never seen them make a mistake with an order, or substitute something of a lesser quality.
